Who is GTR?

Thank you for your interest in our Rupertiwinkel geothermal project.

Responsible for the project is Munich based Geothermie Rupertiwinkel GmbH (GTR), which is a subsidiary of the Japanese companies.

GTR’s aim is to generate emission-free renewable electricity and heat for the region by using the geothermal energy stored deep in the Rupertiwinkel. Through this, GTR contributes not only to the electricity but also to the heat transition in the region. Geothermal energy is available around the clock regardless of the weather. This helps to make our world a little greener.

As a Bavarian company, the local aspect is also of great importance to GTR. The project is implemented with the involvement of local companies and in close coordination with the surrounding municipalities.

November 2018

Acquisition of the geothermal license within the Rupertiwinkel are from Salzurg AG. SAG started developing the project in 2015 and was looking for an experienced partner to continue the development of the project.
